Addressing the Khaksar Shuhada Conference, the Chief of the Khaksar Tehreek, Hameedud din Al-Mashriqi, criticized Sir Sikandar Hayat Khan (Punjab Premier, Government of British India) for the brutal murder of the Khaksars on March 19, 1940 and for inflicting grave atrocities on the Khaksars under the black laws of the British rulers. Upon Hameedud din Al-Mashriqi's request, all speakers and attendees of the conference stood up from their seats to show their respect for the deceased Khaksars and saluted them and offered prayers for the departed souls.
Former Ambassador to the USA and former Federal Minister Syed Abida Hussain paid rich tribute to the late Allama Inayatullah Khan Al-Mashraqi, the Khaksar martyrs, and the role of current Tehreek leaders and workers.

Mashriqi’s birth, death anniversaries on 25th, 27th
THE Khaksar Tehrik (KT) will observe 120th birth and 45th death anniversaries of its founder the late Allama Inayatullah Mashriqi on August 25 and 27 respectively.
According to a press release issued here on Friday, KT leader Hamiddudin Mashriqi instructed the party office-bearers to arrange seminars and conferences on the said days. Meanwhile, a conference on ‘role of parliament, establishment and judiciary in Pakistan’ will be held at main office of the party in Lahore.
Allama Mashriqi, who passed away in 1963, was undoubtedly a giant figure of his time. Reportedly a top-notch mathematician who got a distinction in masters from the Punjab University masters at the age of 19 and later from the Oxford and Cambridge universities in 1910, Mashriqi declined offers of ambassadorship to Afghanistan and later of knighthood during the British government at age of 32. He had earlier served as principal Islamia College, Peshawar, and under secretary to the Government of India in Education department. Later, he entered the political arena and founded the Khaksar Movement in 1930. He remained a controversial figure being dubbed an anarchist and revolutionary by opponents and a reformer and visionary by the supporters. His revolutionary ambitions could not reconcile him with the Muslim League’s political ideology but his services were acknowledged by many.
The Khaksar Movement gained momentum in 1930’s and 1940’s as a growing number of its spade-bearing followers marched around the streets in khaki uniforms...Following partition, Mashriqi faced five prison terms in different regimes on various charges. Mashriqi had breathed his last on August 27, 1963 in Lahore.
